Spread Warmth: Save Lives with Winter Donation

2025 is expected to bring one of the coldest winters yet, making winter donation more crucial than ever. For countless people in India, especially those in slums or on the streets, the freezing nights are a fight for survival. At Impaac Foundation, we aim to bridge the gap by providing blankets and warm clothing to those in need. Together, through your winter donations, we can spread warmth and save lives.

Every year, thousands of lives are at risk during the winter months. Last winter, reports highlighted 7 tragic deaths in Nagda’s slums due to the cold, with temperatures dropping to as low as 4°C. These were preventable deaths, caused by exposure to the harsh weather and a lack of adequate resources.

Across northern states like Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Punjab, temperatures often plunge into single digits, leaving the homeless and underprivileged vulnerable to hypothermia and respiratory illnesses. According to a report by The Hindu, over 1,500 deaths in 2022 were attributed to cold-related causes.

Impaac Foundation is on a mission to change this. Through our winter donation campaigns, we aim to identify and protect individuals and families who are at the greatest risk.

Why Winter Donations Matter

For those with limited resources, surviving the winter is a daily struggle. A warm blanket or a hot meal can make the difference between life and death. Beyond survival, donations provide hope—a reminder that they are not forgotten.

For example, in 2023, a news report from NDTV highlighted the plight of street children in Delhi who relied on NGO-run shelters to survive the winter. Such stories emphasize the importance of community-driven efforts to combat the cold.

At Impaac, every donation counts. A blanket costing just ₹350 can protect someone from the freezing nights, and a small act of kindness can change their world.

What You Can Donate

Here’s how you can help the vulnerable stay warm this winter:

  1. Blankets and Quilts: Essential for keeping warm during the night.
  2. Warm Clothing: Jackets, sweaters, socks, gloves, and caps.
  3. Nutritious Food: Ready-to-eat meals or hot food packets.
  4. Hygiene Products: Soap, sanitizers, and other essentials to prevent winter illnesses.

If you don’t have items to spare, monetary donations are equally impactful. Impaac Foundation ensures your contributions directly reach those who need them most.

Stories of Change

In 2021, The Times of India reported how donations saved lives in Uttarakhand when an NGO distributed over 1,000 blankets to those affected by the floods. Similarly, last winter, Impaac successfully reached over 500 people in slum areas across Maharashtra, providing them with blankets and warm clothes. The smiles and gratitude of those helped reaffirm our commitment to this cause.

How Impaac Foundation Makes It Easy to Contribute

At Impaac Foundation, we believe in connecting donors with the right causes. Through our “Spreading Warmth” campaign, we aim to provide blankets to over 200 individuals this year. Our transparent donation process ensures you can see the real difference your contribution makes.
